2012 Is a Great Year, Believe It or Not.

Help save a soul

Pray Together, Help Save a Soul

Welcome to Called Serve.

I am glad to be in 2012 walking with God. I hope you are too. 12 is good number; Jesus had twelve disciples. There are twelve tribes of Israel and also interestingly 12 points on the clock. The clock moves a complete revolution when it ticks through all the 12 points. To me 12 symbolises completeness, wholeness. I pray for a fresh anointing to find complete joy and peace, being “anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God”(Phil 4v6). I also pray that you will complete all your hanging projects this year.

Completing projects requires energy, persistence, perseverance and yet all these elements have a stubborn way of being used up right in the middle of the race. You just have to keep on keeping on. It’s not over until it is over. In football they blow the whistle to symbolize the end of the game. When the earth’s game is over, “…the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command with the voice of an archangel and with the sound of the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive (in Christ), who are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord” (1 Thes4v16). I pray that you will be among those who will defy gravity and rise to meet the Saviour in the clouds. If you are sure you are going to heaven, take someone with you. Hold someone’s hand this year and pray that they too may be saved. Let this be your desire; to make heaven full and hell empty.

While energy, drive, perseverance, persistence often dry up, be of good cheer because God’s word says in Isaiah 40v31 “but they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Therefore “…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…”(Heb 12v1) to completion. Pray that God will give you a fresh desire, hunger and a thirst for his word. Let it be your desire that you will serve God and our generation this year.

In the time of completeness, blow your trumpet and sing praises unto the Lord as did the children of Israel after completing God’s instruction on Jericho and the walls of Jericho fell. Obedience, worshipping and praising God can bring down the walls in your life that are standing in the way of your destiny. Why not make a resolution that this year you will praise and worship God more than you will come to Him with a list of demands and things-for-God-to-do list. It is high time we appreciate God for what He has already done in our lives, for all the work that was completed on the cross. It is a time to glorify and give thanks to God! God inhabits the praises of His people. Be a worshipper and experience the goodness of the Lord.
